Financially the Library is independent of the Norwalk Public Library system. We receive a generous grant from the Sixth Taxing District that covers 60% of our annual operating expenses. For the remainder, we rely on a number of events, such as the Daughters’ Ball - now a Rowayton tradition - as well as the generosity of you and our Rowayton neighbors for donations during our annual appeal.

Every dollar you donate to the Annual Fund makes a real impact:

• $50 can add three children's books or 2 seasons of a TV series to our collection
• $125 - can provide supplies needed for 15 children for a craftivity
• $250 - can support a special children's program or materials for an adult discussion group
• $500 - can cover a one-year subscription to The Hour
• $1,000 - can provide a 4-week session of a children's book club
