Rowayton Library items can be renewed unless the item is on hold for another patron. InterLibrary loans can be renewed only based upon the lending library's policy.

Book drops are provided for your convenience. To guarantee same day check-in, materials must be returned inside when the library is open. Fines are charged for each calendar day past due for days the library is open.
PLACE HOLDS
Holds may be placed online from the library catalog. Once you find the item you wish to reserve, click on the "Request Item " button in the right menu. Enter your library card number and pickup location, click "Request" and "Return to Searching".
When it is your turn for the item, you will be notified by a phone call.
To cancel a hold, log on to your account in the catalog with your library card number, then review your account. Select the "Holds" tab and check off the item to be canceled and then click "Cancel Request ".

If the Rowayton Library does not own the item you want, you may request an Interlibrary Loan via Bibliomation (our consortium) or reQuest (the statewide catalog).

FEES OF THE ROWAYTON LIBRARY
The following Fees are in effect for services at the Rowayton Library:
- B/W printing...$ .10/page (11" x 17" paper is considered 2 pages)
- Color printing...$ .25/page (11" x 17" paper is considered 2 pages)
- B/W copying...$ .10/page (11" x 17" paper is considered 2 pages)
- Color copying...$ .25/page (11" x 17" paper is considered 2 pages)
- Outgoing fax...$2/first page, $1/each additional page
- Incoming fax...$ .25/page
- Use of Scanner...FREE (flash drive required)
- Use of WiFi...FREE
- Use of Computers...FREE
All Fines for materials borrowed from the Rowayton Library and returned late are: $ .10/day except the following:
- New Adult Fiction Books...$ .25/day
- New Adult Mystery Books...$ .25/day
- New Adult Non-Fiction Books...$ .25/day
- All Audiobooks (Playaway format)...$ .25/day
- All DVDs...$1/day
- All InterLibrary Loan materials...$1/day

Loss of an item will incur a charge of the cost of replacement of the item plus a $5.00 service charge for processing.
There is a $10.00 cap of fines per item. Patron accounts with fines of $25.00 or more cannot place HOLDs ONLINE until their account is cleared.
